The Katana 600 is a great bike for touring and all-day riding. Very reliable and good power throughout the entire range. Handles well in excess of 120 mph!

The bike is straightforward, easy to work on for a diy like me. I have had some problems with my throttle hand and arm falling asleep during rides from vibration in the handlebar and the awkward angle of the bars. Had some serious problems with oversteer at low to moderate speeds in all turns. I lowered the rear pre-load and it seems to be handling better. Did cause me to go off-road two times with the oversteer, trying to keep bike of the pavement. I must say the bike is durable, although frame sliders would save the plastic (if you can find them). The bike is a little heavier than I would like, but I do like how you sit up straighter than on a gsx-r or ninja. I´ll keep the bike if I can get the oversteer problem solved. Replaced stock air filter with K and N, aftermarket exhaust slip-on, and fender eliminator. I don´t think I´ll buy a jet kit since the bikes fast enough and the K and N really helped boost throttle response. | |
