I´ve got a 2000 Triumph Trophy 1200.It has now covered 20k miles. Best colour, British Racing Greem. | ||||||

I´ve owned this bike for a year and a half. Slight misfire problem when I first got it, (14k on the clock,)my local dealer thought it was a fuel injection problem, till I pointed out it has 4 carbs!! Anyway took it to Tri Moto in Greenwich, they balanced the carbs and found one of the two coils was breaking down. New ones fitted, and its been brilliant ever since.If you have a Triumph, these guys are the best! I am amused to read all the reports that you have to be a giant to ride a Trophy. I am 5 feet 8 inches and can sit with both feet safely on the ground, so I suspect someone has fitted a lowered seat.Brilliant tourer, plenty of grunt, fantastic acceleration. Not the prettiest bike you can buy, but fantastic value for money, and built to last. There is one negative. It is top heavy, if it wants to fall over, get out of the way, unless you are Goliath, and get some help to pick it up. Oh, and I agree with some, if Triumph had made it shaft drive, it would have been perfect. This bike is the best of British in my opinion. |
