This bike was a trend setter.

I bought a 1982 GPz550 in July of 2001 for Dollars 900 and now it´s one of 2 bikes I own. I have always thought this was an outstanding looking motorcycle with a great engine and above average performance. My bike is in pristine condition with about 15,000 miles on it.
The only problem I had was a starter solenoid and a dead battery. Other than these it´s been flawless and still to this day performs extremely well.
A friend of mine who owned an ´82 Yamaha 550 Seca says that this bike is a better bike than his Seca and seems to have better power and handle better.
I would recommend any of the Kawasaki GPz models to anyone who is interested in purchasing a bike like this. They are smooth, fast and very reliable.
