The Benelli 650s Tornado is what I took and received my motorcycle license on some 23 years ago. My father bought a 1974 Tornado in 1975 with about 650 miles on it. He owned it until the mid 90´s and then sold it to a motorcycle collector. I should have bought it but at the time I was low on cash. I loved this bike, it sounds cool, handles great and is an all around head turner. I even got out of a speeding ticket because the officer was so intrigued by this cycle. The 650s had a huge dual front drum break and a right-hand shift that was one up and four down. The only two downfalls on this particular motorcycle are the notoriously hard Italian seat and part availability. This bike ran extremely well and required very little maintenance. If you are a collector or someone who adores old classic cycles this is one you should highly consider adding to your collection. Oh, by the way my father also pulled a sidecar with this bike with no problems. |
