Bought the Stone Touring as a leftover in 2005 after my Quota was totaled. 8 years later I still have it, and if I could only have one, this is the bike I´d keep. Expect to have it until I´m too old to ride. | ||||||
At about 6,000 miles the clutch wouldn´t stay in adjustment. They had a bad batch of pressure plates which wore rapidly. It was replaced under warranty and has been fine ever since. The odometer quit working at 18,000 miles. Replaced the speedometer unit and it lasted about 15,000 miles. Heck with it. Don´t need no stinkin´ odometer. I currently have about 40-45,000 miles on her and still enjoy her as much as ever. I´ve modified the seat a bit and fitted footpegs and controls from an 850T, which brought the pegs back about 8 inches. Other than that, she´s still stock and running sweetly. |
