200cc Kikker 5150 Hardknock Bobber Definately a throwback to days gone by... Way cool! | ||||||

Since I don´t have a repair shop or any fancy tools, this bike is a great way to learn the in´s and out´s of a motorcycle. What´s even better, once you´re done, you have someting to ride! I´m more of a woodworker/machinist than a mechanic but even I was able to get it together and running. The Hardknock is only as good as how well it was assembled. Yeah, it is a bike that occasionally needs adjusting and tightening up but quite frankly, I like that. I get to do that stuff without having to pay someone else alot of money for maintenance. If you have some mechanical ability, it is very user friendly. As far as handeling and quality of the ride, I give it two thumbs up. For being a hardtail, I was expecting a much rougher ride. It´s surprisingly smooth and comfortable for that style of motorcycle. There is plenty of power in the 200cc engine for getting in and out of traffic. It´s definately not a race bike, rather, it is more of an around town bike with the capability for highway speeds. All in all, I would buy one again because they really are very cool and fun to ride. Most other bikes on the street never really caught my eye like these bikes. Frequently I am asked, ´Is that an old Indian or a Triumph¿´ Alot of people are impressed when I tell them it was a kit. |
