Almost the perfect bike | ||||||
This is my third BMW. I started with a used R1100R. That bike vibrated to much at freeway speed, The newer model with the 6 speed would be better. I sold it and got a 1999 K1200RS, that bike was way to heavy, to tall and got real hot. I was going to get out of motorcycling but the shop that sold my K1200RS happened to have a 2003 F650CS that only had 1000 miles on it so before I took my money and ran I test rode it. I was sold! it does everything and more. It´s light, comfortable, goes through traffic like a scooter and is a great long range bike. Even at just 650cc´s it will flat eat up the miles and it corners like a go-cart. on a recent trip I got 70 m.p.g. and even pegged the speedo at 125 m.p.h. on a remote highway in Death Valley. This is a fantastic bike! Hoagieburger |
