I bought mine from my older brother back in 1980 or so for Dollars 300. I loved this bike. | ||||||
It was cat quick and so easy to handle, it was a dream to ride. It was reliable as hell, and could really scoot. I had a matching helmet that came with it. The only complaint I had with it was that sometimes, if you forgot to shut off the petcock, the carbs would fill with gas and you would be kick starting it for ages before it would turn over. Also, having to put oil in was a bit of a pain. Once I think I was just about out or maybe ran it dry for a few miles, and was afraid I´d burn it up. Anyway, my particular model was a R5-C, not F. When I moved from California, I sold it to a friend, who really didn´t ride it. It ended up getting stolen from him, and I never saw it again. Just a fond memory now. |
