I wrote a review about the Cyclone 200, and it is an excellent bike, however, here I will comment on the company´s practices which are extremely disappointing. | ||||||
It`s too often across industries that someone seems to come by their money through inheritance, connections, or some other privilege. They have enough sense to hire competent engineers, and they know right from wrong to that extent, but when it comes to rendering honest service in good faith, they refuse to do it right because they don`t find ethics in their interest. Specifically, I know that my complaints are valid and the problems are intentional because when I called Vento to ask for a service manual, or the procedure for adjusting the carburetor, they told me that only Vento and their authorized service centers are permitted to "put their hands" in the bike. I explained to her very plainly, that this stopped being their bike when I paid for it and took it out of the store, and I will certainly maintain it myself, especially after finding out how unprofessional and protectionist they are. So, now that you know what their attitude is in their own words, I will describe the fraud associated with it. When you get the bike, it comes with a packet of manuals and pamphlets, and they are packed with errors and contradictions. The Quickstart pamphlet tells you to use the wrong oil, saying 10-W40, when the thinnest oil permitted elsewhere is 15-W40. You are told two entirely different break-in schedules, and there is no indication of which one you are actually supposed to follow. The first page of the service logbook is labeled "Initial break-in", and it ends telling you that services are each 1000km apart, but then later, it tells you it`s 300km for the first service. What they are doing is making contradictory demands so that you will void your own warranty so that they don`t have to honor the 3-year warranty the bike comes with. That`s three years of potential repairs they`re weaseling out of. And since I already told you that, in their own words, they demand a monopoly to service the bike you bought from them, it`s clear what they`re doing and why. |
