What this bike lacks in accessories it more than makes up for in the ewww and aaaa catagorie,

My wife and I finely got the kids out of the house and on there own so we decided to get back into touring, I didnt want a huge gold wing, and forget HD,( i dont want to sell my house to pay for the bike and keep it running), I had a kz1300 when we met over 25 years ago so we decided to looked at the new kaw´s.
We picked up a vn1600 meanstreak, added a wind screen and corbon seat, and took off for a day of fun, it turned out to be a day of pain and misory, the meanstreak looks great but has to be the most uncomfortable thing i´ve been on in my whole life, after 2 hours my wife sead she would never get on it again, i concured so i took it back and swapped for A 2004 VN2000 at a loss on the MS,
My only complaints on the V2K are the accessories, the stock wind screen is too low (Clearview shields makes a replaicement that fits the stock brakets and is 1 inch wider and 6 inches taller) and hard saddle bags are near imposable to find, the one set I found are only 7 inches wide, so it looks like leather might be in order.
It´s got power, it´s got style, it´s got grace, it,s got power,( ya i sead power twice) but most of all it´s comfortable and fun to drive.
In the not to distant future it´s getting Hardkrome 2 into 1 slash cut pipes, A kuryakyn hyper charger, and a power comander to remap the fuel system,(ok I like to cruis realy fast)
Drive Safe and take care,
Chris and Linda
