The cbr 600f if most definitely a very good all rounder which makes the most of everything it has to offer. I have an orange black and grey 1998 example in very good condition and thoroughly enjoy riding it. My bike always dtarts first time and once warm will try to pull your arms off its so responsive especially when the air is cold. One of the great things about the cbr6 is the rear suspension which really does do a great job and soaks up all the bumps and road irregularities but remains commited in the corners. When its come to power the 100 + bhp is very easy to access and it will only pop up a front wheel under severe provacation or due entirely to the rider wanting it to do so. Comfort, powere, economy, cheap insurance its all there. Running costs are higher than some manufacturers but new parts can easily be bought on the internet such as downpipes brakes pads etc all of which are available at a vastly reduced rate. One of the things noticable is the 160 rear tyre which seems narrow compared to the 180- 190 sizes availble on most machines today but this doesn´t matter as the size definitely suits the bike and once your pegs are on the ground you cant go any lower anyway. I have found the michelin pilot sport to be an excellent choice and would recommend these to anyone | |
