forget the mk1 and mk2 fireblades, how scary is it that a 750 can leave the 16 valve 900 honda´s! | ||||||
i´ve recently acquired an early 1996 yzf 750. ok, it´s fourteen years old but it´s only done 19,500 miles. i raced a guy on a 1995 fireblade up loch lomond side in scotland recently. i was so impressed that my 750 yamaha beat him right through the whole rev range. what an awesome machine for its time. it might be the 20 valve head or the mysterious exup valve in the collector box, which acts like a turbo. whatever the reason, i can only say it´s hats off to yamaha for letting us cherish such a motorcycle. the only adjustments on my machine is a blue flame can and a k and n power filter. so there, jee whizz! big shiv, glasgow |
