Good starter bike that still pleases the seasoned rider

I bought my bike in april after not riding for seven years. Was looking for a touring bike at a good price. Chose the ´05 Kat because it wasn´t intimidating. Perfect for shorter people and not too much power. ....well I found out a little latter that it has ample power. Despite its heft it will keep up with R600´s. This is a very reliable and easy to ride bike. Beginner advice: watch out for slow speed maneuvers the Kat´s are top heavy. You can feel the near full tank of gas actually rock the bike at a stop from side to side. This is a proven reliable engine that is surprisingly easy to work on. | |
