I first thought that this bike would be slow and would get old very fast. But that simply cant be the case with this bike. It is quick especially for a 300. It starts without any drama, gets amazing fuel mileage and is generally just a great bike. It is astonishingly nimble. I havn´t ridden motorcycles much and I can say this was a great experience for me. I found it very forgiving for a new rider. You could miss gears shifts or throttle up or down mistakenly without the upsetting the bike. The bikes owner and I made sure to give the motorcycle a full test and we rode together on it. Hes 5´9 and 160ish and I´m 5´8 200ish. I will say the bike didn´t struggle even when we doubled its weight in passengers. It didnt feel to small for us either. AND IT WAS COMFORTABLE! I went to pick up my girlfriend about 75 miles away. Which was almost a 2 hour ride, and drove her home(her first time on a bike) and she told me she was comfortable, and could ride back with easy had she not been so cold.(it was 52*) the bikes power is amazing really. It has plenty of power down low and pulls all the way through to the redline of 12k. Its even happy trolling around at 3-4k which I find impressive considering what that motor probably makes for torque at that RPM. I love the bike really. The buttons and levers are nice and ergonomic for me. I wish the bike was a little widder or bigger all around as It does feel small after awhile. The grips could be a little wider to help on long journeys. My only gripes are that 1, Its to quiet(seriously, afterwhile of riding with earplugs you wont hear the bike unless its over 6k) and 2, The throttle has some dead space. Its fine for pulling out but once the clutch is fully engaged you feel the jerky-ness in the throttle. The first 5% or so of throttle movement goes without change and then it comes on like it should be there already, kinda acting like a on off switch. Maybe some taller gearing would be nice, other than that I would say this bike is a easy 9 of 10. Maybe even 9.5 of ten. Really nice to have that good looking bike around. | |
