A unique scooter priced around Dollars 3000 - 4000 | ||||||
Manufactured in China and sold in the U.S. by Diamo, this unique scooter has a convertible hard top roof that folds into the back trunk. When the roof is up, the trunk is spacious (for a motorcycle). I can easily fit my bike jacket, rain gear, gloves and a helmet with plenty of room to spare. The engine has plenty of pep and I have had no trouble getting it up to 40-50 MPH in a few seconds. The top speed is around 70 MPH and the mileage is around 75 MPG. The scooter can seat two, although with helmets on, the top is best left down when two people are riding. It comes standard with a stereo CD MP3 player with 4 weather proof speakers. Things I like: * Roof keeps the sun and rain off of my head. * Acceleration is very good for a 150 cc engine. * Built in alarm system * Keyless ignition! * It just looks cool - I get all kinds of curious looks and stares. * Roof folds aways into the trunk with room to spare. * Helmet and riding gear fit inside the lockable trunk. * Scooter can be started three different ways: keyless remote, with the key, and with a kick start. * Has a kick stand and a center stand. * Great gas mileage! * Automatic transmission is smooth. * 1 year warranty. Things I donĀ“t like: * Windshield wiper is just on the edge of my field of vision. * The wiper fluid button is shared with the blinker switch, so if I press the blinker too hard, the wiper fluid sprays the windshield. * Difficult to fill with gas at a gas station - gas comes out of the tank during filling. I was able to prevent this by turning the gas pump handle upside down. * The mirrors are difficult if not impossible to adjust. I finally gave up on adjusting the right side mirror. * Owners manual is almost incomprehensible - a direct Chinese to English translation? * Engine is kind of noisey. * The combination of choices between the ignition switch, light switch and blinker switch is confusing. It is difficult to understand which switch needs to be turned on to have the lights on and the blinkers active. The owners manual offers no help. * Chinese workmanship - this could be an issue as time goes by. * Limited dealer choices. |
