I have never been a fan of the copycat cruisers but since my last bike was an 82 Virago 920 I thought I would give the V Star a look. The Silverado looks sharp and runs great. Did I say great? It´s fantastic. On the hiway at 65 or in city traffic this is one sweet handling cruiser. I ride with Harleys and big bore cruisers and keep up with no problems. Many reviewers talk about the vibration at 55-60 but I don´t notice it. The fact that the engine is designed to rev higher also scares some writers but it´s not even near red line at 75 mph. The clutch is smooth and the brakes will stop you a lot faster than you expect. I am at 5000 mi and have no desire to trade up. With all the extras this bike is a great bang for the buck in this writers opinion. | |
