Here´s a quick blurb; as a newby I still have a lot of exploring to do, so I will probably post more later. In short, I couldn´t be more satisfied. | ||||||

I´ve read reviews; talked with co-workers, friends and neighbors; sat on quite a few through several show rooms .... I purchased a 2003 VTX 1300S just a few days ago (July 05). It ´had´ only 2400 miles on it; it ´has´ a few add-ons. In two days I´ve only been able to clock approx 200 miles ... and I´m happy with my pick. My riding history - not much, but plan on making up for time. I had the ´bug´ for quite some time, so I took a 3 day safety course. That was 2 1/2 years ago. This VTX is my first bike ever - thinking (during pre-buy days/hours) that maybe a 1300 was a bit much to gain experience. However, in my climate, a less-than-1100 I was told is antiquated. Well, from down-town traffic to neighbor cruisin to riding work ... I couldn´t be happier. Now I have to learn my, and it´s, limits; I get my elbows and hands greasy - literally. |
