I bought this bike to save money for the campervan that my wife wanted and thought it looked quite good as well. | ||||||
Hyosung was not a name I was familiar with in the world of motorcycles until I was browsing through a What Bike magazine. It was the style of bike I liked and was impressed with the price, power and insurance rating. After some research into the bike owners seemed to generally rate them as did the more sensible end of the motorbike magazine media. I found a brand new one for sale at a local general MC dealership for a staggering £1000 off the already low list price. I went that day and bought it. A bit rash? Not at all the bike is all I want it to be. If you are not badge conscious and want a bargain new everyday bike this is for you. OK the engine is not quite as smooth as the Suzuki, the finish not be quite up to the Japs standard, the mirrors are from a Kawasaki GT550 job lot and what would appear to be afterthought radiator, but I paid nearly £2000 less than a new SV, I can live with that. Unless you are the type of rider who needs the latest gleaming jap plastic rocket who is forever micro adusting tyre presures and suspension to make all the difference to the handling! Then I can honestly say that the Comet is worth a look, its a no nonsense, value, good looking, fun motorcycle. |
