Look all you want, you won´t find a street bike with this combination of speed, looks, agility, light weight, and long distance comfort.

Power? A 919 will easily lift its front tire in first or second gear - with roll-ons. A Kaw ZX naked acclerates faster, as does the FZ1, but the ZX is a heavy carver, and the FZ1 is heavier too, with a low handlebar position. They´re both dated and UUUGLY! As for interstate touring, I guess much depends on your point of view. Personally, I like doing 80 right out in the wind like God intended. I had a Givi screen given to me - and quickly got rid of it. That´s naked motorcycling! If you want wind protection, drive a cage. The 919 easily handles four season, all-day, multi-state touring on a regular basis. A Ventura rack lets you pack anything, and a tempur-foam seat insert makes long trips as comfortable as my Mustang-seat Yamaha cruiser. Touring on the 919 is a thrill a minute, with ´think-it-and-you´re-there´ acceleration. But the real fun is wearing the last nubs off the edges of that fat 180. Lean it over and it begs for more. Nimble, light, sweet, fast, comfortable, and confident. | |
