Bought Saturday brand new 04 VTX 1300 Retro, Rode it Sunday 20 miles and it died, I called the honda road cub and since the bike was so new I had to pay for the tow. | ||||||
I was just getting use to the set up on this bike when it died, it sounded like a gas problem so I switched to reserve and tryed to start, but after the first few cranks the battery went dead. I was dead on the side of the Silverado trail in Napa county on my brand new Honda with houndreds of bikes going by in the 2 1/2 hours I waited for the Dollars 175 dallor tow. These bikes get very little respect form the HD riders and even less when they see them on the side of the road with a temp plate on it. While the bike ran it felt good, nice and heavy like riding a truck, the front end seemed a little soft, but it was comfortable to ride. I just recament that you do not ride your new honda until your dealership has put all your paper work through to Honda so you are covered by the warrenty. It is a very good looking bike and it coasts very well. A pain to get on and off of a truck though. So good luck and have fun. |
