The Ducati 900ss love them or hate them? | ||||||

I have owned this bike for the last three years. Its been excellent and terrible in this time.Its not the fastest thing I have ever riden by any stretch of the imagination, however in the real world it fast enough. I have modified it by ading a stage two jet kit and removing the airbox lid. Also I have fitted a 14 tooth front sprocket to the bike. This means the top speed is droped by about 10mph but the acceleration is much better and suits the bike more, it will now rev out in top (130mph). The brakes have braided hoses on them. The engine is balances heads skimed and special studs fitted. It now goes aswell as a sports 600 from jap land. The duc sounds amazing with the rattley clutch and the airbox booming. Exhausts are standard with the baffle cut ( keeps the boys in blue happy) Its very comfortable to ride, for a sports bike, and always lets you know your on somthing special. The mirrors are useless!!!!!! Overall))))))) This is a bike thats needs you to be involved with it, it wants constant attention, takes ages to warm up, is tempramentle and is not cheap to run ( sounds like the wife) If you want somthing thats not run of the mill, will turn heads and is rewarding to ride this is the bike. |
