The Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 is a big beast of a bike and is not for the faint hearted. | ||||||
In our Johannesburg, South Africa motor cycle club there are two big Kawa VN2000´s. These bikes demand respect. They are huge, powerful and they eat open roads for breakfast. They are surprisingly light on fuel. (20 to 24 k´s per litre). The engine sound is like no other bike - to me it sounds like a well-tuned power boat motor. The sound is deep, regular and loud. You can hear this bike comming for miles. It is not the easiest bike to push around, it is heavy. In spite of this it is a very good handler on the move. It is only now starting to gain a following here and good examples are not easily found. |
