For new riders out there I find that the gsx750f is a great balance of power. | ||
I have had some experience with bikes but not street bikes, I had a dirt bike when I was 15. It has taken me almost 17 years to get my motorcycle license. I originally wanted a CBR F4i but when comparing insurance cost I could not account for the increase in cost (1000.00 more per year). I found a 01 kat for a fair price and better insurance cost and aside from the weight it is a great bike. I find the power more that adequate for me and have recently started to lift the front tire (althought timidly). I have had it dynoed and it puts out about 72hp not the 94 the spec sheet says. Put a jet kit in and a hindel exhaust which put it up to 79hp (looking for more). I also like the position on bike. It is a bit more upright and have taken it on 8 hour rides with minimal discomfort although a softer seat for those rides would be nice. As far as the posted top speed of 220 kph goes I am sure she can do more even before I did any modifications to it as I was doing 210 and had lots of throttle left. Anyway I think it is a great bike that is over looked as it is not considered to be a performance machine. |
