I have had mine for one year and have put over 6000 miles on it without a problem.

This summer I took two trips of over 700 miles on it. Other than the seat putting my butt to sleep after 100 miles all was fine. One of those trips was with my wife on the back ( two up) and other than the different handling characteristics it did fine. This bike only weighs about 530 pounds and has over 50 hp. That is a great weight to horse power ratio. It had no problem crusing at 80 with two riders. I´m going to buy a cruiser/tourer this winter but am thinking about keeping my vl 800 because it is fun and problem free. It looks great, low gun slinger attitude, every one thinks it is a larger displacement bike. | |
