My stepfather taught me how to ride a motorcycle, this was it. | ||||||
This is a nice, quiet, smooth single cylinder 2-stroke. Shift pattern was strange 1 up, 3 down. This bike was classed as an ´80´, but was 74cc. The engine was crisp, but not too torque y. There was no tach, and I recall the speedometer read to 80mph. Top speed 55 wot. This motor used a rotary valve and the ´Yama-lube´ oil injection system. I have never had one fail, and I loved that feature. Keep the oil reservoir full and it adjusts the oil injection to compensate for RPM. There was not a lot of travel on suspension, but carefully ridden, you could go lots of places you would not think. These were available in red , green and blue |
