underpowered compared to the earlier 750 Commando. Electric start not really usable unless engine is hot from recent use. Four brush starter conversion a must, if you intent to keep bike. Need a donor starter from an early Harley (new, they are about Dollars 160), a little machine work, install and good to go. Drill out both front and rear discs, convert the master cylinder and add stainless brake lines to improve stopping. While your at it, check out both calipers, clean and rebuild w/ new o rings and consider a set of stainless brake pistons for each wheel. Join the Norton Owners Assoc. get a tech manual |
