After 23 years of biking nothing will replace this bike.

Although i´d always wanted one I was worried that after 23 years of riding Jap sports touring type bikes that a Harley derivative could dissapoint me. Now i can´t ride anything else. This is what motorcycling is all about. Laid back cruising. I commute the 80 mile round trip in comfort albeit slowly. My other bike is an XJR1300 which i don´t like riding anymore. This bike looks like a Harley, is slightly more powerful and no doubt more reliable and definately cheaper! It has an added screen, Cissy bar and Highway Hawk straight through pipes and is a real head turner. The only thing bad i´ve noticed is that the bike doesn´t like heavy rain. I keep it coated with liberal amounts of silicon spray to warn away the inevitable rust but can´t see any yet. Performance doesn´t matter anymore because the bike sounds so good, but it´ll go when pushed. With the screen 70 is max (for comfort), i usually cruise at between 50 and 60 on my daily dual carriageway commute. My next investment will be some leather panniers and a leather pouch that fits at the back of the screen. The handlebars are slightly too far foreward and too narrow for me so i´m going to get a set of aftermarket handlebars eventually, but apart from that fine tuning the bike is perfect.
Wonderful bike. Definately a bike designed for people who enjoy riding.
