If you are looking for a cross between a cruiser and a custom/sport bike ... look no further | ||||||
I recently purchased a 1998 Honda Magna VF 750 - V45. My past bikes have included a wide range (Honda 750 Custom, Yamaha Virago, etc.) of mid-sized bikes. The Magna is in a very special category. This motorcycle (4 cylinders) is fast (12.2 seconds in the quarter mile) and very comfortable. The bike has that certain ´feel´ of Honda reliability and workmanship. It is a very comfortable bike with a fairly long wheelbase (65´0) and adjustable shocks. The seat height is just 28´ so even a shorter person is able to place their feet on the ground. The 5-speed transmission shifts very smooth and precise. The bike handles extremely well. It seems to be very comfortable in its cruiser role but also will blow many sport bikes off the road with its powerful engine. This bike weighs just over 500 lbs. and puts out nearly 90 horsepower! The speed ceoms on in the higher RPM range. The quality Honda crafmanship is apparent throughout. Everything on this bike seems to work in concert. The bike has impressive looks (four pipes), a soft comfortable seat and many after market options are availble. It is sad Honda has discontinued it. My guess is the later model Magnas are destined to become collector bikes. Buy one now ... you won´t be disappointed. |
