Not the fastest on the track, but one of the best rider´s machines in existence | ||||||
The Tornado is an incredible bike. Not the most powerful - it can´t match later model hyperbikes on the street, but comes close and will give you a much more fulfilling experience. It´s a real rider´s bike. Pin sharp handling, exquisite and powerful brakes, stability, and a fantastic engine that produces just about the most glorious sound you will ever hear from a motorbike even from the standard exhaust. It sounds good from a distance but when you´re on it, it´s absolutely breathtaking. Power is everywhere, it hardly needs a gearbox. Less lazy than a twin but far more grunty than a four. And it´s a real attention getter. Watch for flaking paint especially on the lower panels, ask if the gearbox reliability modifications have been done (early models), and make sure the electrics are OK. There are websites that will tell you what to look for so do your homework. Don´t believe the reputation, a well sorted and well looked after Tornado is a reliable and incredibly fun machine to own. |
