I´ve bought a 2003 VTR 250 with only 3500km on it, practically like new. This bike seemed to me to be the ideal light, nimble and quick runabout that´s easy on tax and gas, too.

I was not disappointed - moving up from a CBR 150 R this bike is just what I thought it would be and more! I needed more room to move on longer trips (I´m 5´10´), better suspension, bigger rims and tires, ´a bit more meat to it´ and more power. The VTR has it all. IThe little race engine pulls effortlessly from low revs in 5th gear and accelerates evenly all the way to redline. The power seems to be linear, no weak or strong spots, and even at 140km/h no vibrations of any kind. 32hp out of 250cc make 128 hp to the liter! Suspension and brakes are more than adequate and I can slide further back than on a V-Max! Seating posititon is upright but slightly forward, good for long trips. I installed a small windscreen that does a good job keeping the wind off my chest. Even at full throttle it won´t take more than 4L/100km, giving me a range of 280km tops. - I´m very happy with this little ´Monster´ and can only recommend it! | |
