i have been rideing this bike for 6 months, and done 2000 easy miles on the road, sunny, cloudy, wet, and ice.

good points: very nippy, cheap running, plenty of storage, stuperbly reliable. easy maintainence. brilliant handling
bad points: limited top speed, poor MPG (i think)

i bought this moped at the start of november 2008. as a 16year old, it cost me £15 tax and £240 insurance. this bike cost me £950 as second owner and had 1220miles on the clock. it´s 1st owner was an elderly lady who did about 250mile´s a year on it. i did 175miles on it in the first week of haveing the bike.

over the winter, i had to take it college on ice coverd roads, and found it gave good warning, when slipping occoured. but it was troublesome to get it started in 1´c weather.

engine warming: the bike needs about 15seconds of full throtal to get it to around 80% warmed in cold weather. but this 80% of power is enough. after around 5mins the engin is it optimal tempreture

acceleration: at optimal temp, the 4.8BHP engin, and 71kg weight of the bike, and 60kg me, go from 0-30mph in 9 seconds. at lights, the car will strugle to pull away with much of a gap.

top speed: this u.k one is limited to 34/35MPH. via a CDI, variator and exhaust.
though a steep 17% hill will let it get to 38MPH
i heard de-restricted it will do 55mph

MPG: it seems to range all the time, but the other day, i ran out on a full tank of shell v-power after just 73miles on 6liters of fuel, that´s 54mpg, but it has been as low as 45MPG, but it will useually do about 60MPG.
i just think that it could do with a bigger fuel tank.

oil consumption: being 2 stroke it needs the mix of petrol and oil. i recomende fully synthetic 2 stroke. a 1 liter bottle shall last about 1000miles

handling: in the dry the super sticky pirelly tyers will go round most corners at it´s limited top speed, and handles well in every bend. you can get it at a 45 degree angle.

maintaince: spark plug lasts around 600miles before cleaning.

repair costs:
rear indecator lenz: £3.50
rear back tyer: £25

i recomend this bike to anyone, though not the colour purple to a boy, like i have. it´s not bad but i like the silver ones.
