ever since 1995 since i bought my first new yz250 I have been buying them every few years and upgrading, My last one 1997 yz250 lasted almost 8 years before i gave in and got the aluminum frame model. Glad i did, lighter, much faster, and much better suspention. I am happy as a pig in mud with this 2005 model,First year i sucked some sand and had to replace my jug but since then its been great. I have alot of do dads and go fast parts on this model vforce, fmf exhaust, magura clutch, sidwinder sprokets rental chain avs levers and pro taper bars with applied triple clamp this bike is tight. I hd no problem taking third place in the 30+b class at the Motocross Of Nations last year in maryland. I have replaced all my bolts with titanium ones and my shift lever and brake lever as well also I have added a topar ignition cover made from billet. The last add on is my ims foot peggs the stock ones are nice being ti and all but alittle bit small. All and all with my sst pipe and core 2 silencer and v force I have alot of spare power on tap. I rode a full race 250f at the track last year. not my flavor noisy and seemed like i was riding slow motion. My yz has a power band that polls strong off the bottom with almost no lag and has such a sweet spot when you get it up in third gear about half way thats the perfect amount of power to clear my 90 foot tabble top easy. My gtyr air filter keeps my box clean now the stocker was great for the first few years but once again i chose to use hi quality stuff on all my bikes. Black rims and a shiny gas cap adds to the works bike look and feel. All and all I am extremly satisfied with yamaha products oer the past 15 years. If they would only give me a shot as a factory wernch having stripped the yz apare ever year for the last 15 years I can say I know a few things about the history of it. If your looking for a two stroke run TO A PHONE CALL YOU DEALER ORDER A BRAND NEW ONE AND THENsit back and watch everyone get nervous cause your gonna dominate. two strokes forever. and ever. | |
