Real nice bike!

The day I went to look at the bike in Randburg I knew this is the one for me, a ´PROJECT bike´ to keep me busy and out of trouble :)

Now is this not a coincident that I would find a review from Mike, the previous owner and seller of the bike and be able to do a review of the same XJ 650, 2 years along the line. Kinda cool to read about the nasty history of my XJ, who would have thought, that old ´farm bike´ could become the beauty I´m driving today. If you´re looking for the short review:
Excellent motorcycle!!
Excellent performance!!

After I bought the bike from Mike in the winter of 2007, the bike had a problems starting. Just a case of sync´ing´ the carbs. A long story short, me and my buddy (76kg+71kg=147kg´s) took the bike for a spin last weekend (25/01/08) and clocked it @ 155km/h when I released the trottle (If you red Mike´s review he spoke about the ´wobbly´ feeling), well it felt pretty dangerous @ 155km/h. I found out that my suspension is buggered, ´wobbly´ problem solved, at least until I´ve saved enough money. When my XJ 650 is tuned up the way I imagine it could be, I´ll post an ´after´ picture. Chears!
