I just turned over 10,000kms on my 04 Mean Streak. I think I have had it long enough to make an informed opinion.

I bought the bike a week before we headed to the California / Oregon coast. I managed to put 1500kms on it and get it into the shop for the first service. The bike handled great on the trip and ran flawlessly even when we climbed to over 6000´ on several occasions. My wife noticed that her Shadow Spirit started to lose power at the higher elevations, gotta love FI. The bike is now my daily commuter and I love it. It is a great cruiser but handles very well and is just sporty enough for me to scare myself, the pegs drag and tell me it´s time to slow down. When I bought the Mean Streak, my 3 choices were: HD V-Rod, Victory Kingpin and the Mean Streak. The Mean Streak isn´t as fast as the V-Rod, or even as the Kingpin (the Kingpin has a great motor), but it just works really well. I would highly recommend it. | |
