The bike has very potent, very evenly distributed power. In stock form, it´s simply a well rounded punchy machine. Once ´uncorked´ The bike acctualy wakes up and becomes the dirty beast it was desined to be.(Google Uncorking the X650R for details) | ||||||
I purchased mine several months ago and fulfilled a long time, long over due goal. I´ve just recently outfitted it with all the aftermarket stuff that I care to for the time beeing (i.e. bigger tank, new air flow and muffler system, tougher drive train components. What I love most about this thing is the fact that it has all the power anyone can expect from a big bore thumper while it fells like it only weighs as much as an eary 90´s CR250. And the handling, ooooh the handling.....It´s supple, smooth, and easily directed on a trail, and maintains solidarity at high speed. The perfect bike for high speed desert/trail riding enjoyment. |
