Very poor quality | ||
I finally ( since I always wanted one ) purchased the Bajaj Avenger last novemerber ( 2007 ). I have used it sparingly but maintained it in showroom condition. However, this September I was TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED to realise that the Chrome-work and Engine Paintwork is of VERY POOR QUALITY. Rust spots develop easily on the chrome parts, except the rims. Whats worse is that the entire engine crankcase silver paint has started to blister and peel off ! For a guy who is particuler about his bike, any sort of ´defect´ is important. These problems are a clear indication of POOR QUALITY AND MANUFACTURING STANDARDS of Bajaj Auto. Moreover, there has been no response from the company with regard to my complaint. I took the bike to a service centre, where the service engineer promised he would have the matter ´looked into´ and took my telephone number with the excuse that he will call back...but no call yet ! He had mentioned that they will use some locally available spray paint aerosol can to paint the crankcase. To all those intending to buy the Avenger, I would say THINK AGAIN !!!!! |
