I commute on my ZZR600 daily, about 40 miles each way. The hands get alittle tired as this is a raked sport bike. Ride is smooth. the bike is light and cross wind seems to push a little, but it is controlable. Could have come with better tires for rain. I have been getting between 55 and 65 MPG. I ride I-5 daily. Groved pavement is interesting on any bike. For a 600cc this bike has lots of power, but one must respect that power. Water cooled engine runs great, fan kicks on at 200degrees. Bike runs down the freeway at 154degress F. 1st gear is snappy when cold, choke works good at start up. Engine has no knocks at start up. Idle at 1500rpm when warm. 6000rpm is about 75-80 MPH, reline is 15,000rpm...so..150-160mph is possible. I wont be trying that anytime soon. Cheers :O) | |
