Review of the 1983 Yamaha RD 125 LC:

THE BEST STARTING BIKE THERE IS!!!

This bike, first released way before I was born, Is the greatest bike I have owned in my 17th year of my life.

I bought this bike last year with a few problems in it which was easily sorted, but none the less, I had no clue what I had just bought. I leave my dad down to that. I am but the rider.

The only problem I encountered with this bike was the infamous gear change when you switch in between 1st and 2nd, the bike seems to drop into neutral, and I am left with this screaming bike and a shocked, well, me flying along this road!

Naw, the bike is great, the design is so retro, which is good where I live. Long live the old(e) bikes! I paid £300 for mine, but the blue one featured in this website owned by a french guy is all origional by what I see, so you could be expecting to pay £1000+ on one of these!

I have fitted a K+N filter on mine and found an old pair of AllSports exhausts which are universal yet rare. This should make the 125 sound a wee bit bigger! My friends (non motorbike owners) make fun of the high pitched noise the exhaust makes, but they dont understand that the bike is an old model!

My bike is only needing decals and the new exhaust welded on and I am expecting to fly on ´The Menace´

´Long live the LC´
