I saw the ratings for this bike and read the review which was giving it high praise. I was greatly mislead. This motorcycle has many problems, not just mine but vt 500 ascot will have fatal flaws.

The other review i read said this bike went like a bat out of hell, not true. The review said it kept up with modern bikes it´s size, nope. I can not keep up with friends on little ninja 250´s. this bike has a drive shaft which is reliable but weighs a lot and you lose power. This bike is very heavy tipping the scales at 500 lbs for a 500cc engine. The biggest problem is the motorcycle was designed by idiots. the drive shaft is a bad design for this engine because this engine is mounted like a regular v-twin the drive shaft has to make two right angle turns to power the wheels causing extra stress, loss of power and loss of mpg. the other huge problem is the engine has to be pulled out of the frame to get the timing cover off which takes a long time and is a pain to get to anything on the engine. the tank is small so you can´t go far and there is no fuel gauge. So many more things are poorly designed i can´t list them all but you do not want to buy this motorcycle. | |
