Squeaky rear brakes
Dave said 2009-08-28 23:19
I have replaced the brake shoes twice since I got this bike it’s been 10 years now and I still think it’s the best Bike I´ve ever had. However I can’t seem to get the rear brakes to stop squeaking. Every thing I have tried works for about a month or two and then its back and if I let it go it gets real bad like vibration bad. There is no pulsation and I have surfaced the stainless insert (drum) and replaced the shoes. No squeak for two months now and then low and behold here comes the noise. Upon inspection I have cracked shoes and a glazed drum. Why are they getting so hot? Is it the composition of the shoe? Or the way I drive? What can be done? Help!
