My new 08 FXD had an obnoxious high idle problem that the local Harley dealership swore was normal. Idle when cold was great, but once it warmed up, it was at 1250 rpm. It felt like riding a chainsaw. After taking it to a different dealership the PCM was calibrated, under warranty, and the idle indeed smoothed out.
