Night Train or bust 07 Harley-Davidson FXSTB Softail Night Train discussion forum:
Night Train or bust

Night Train or bust
jbiker27 said 2008-11-11 10:14:35
I just purchased my 5th motorcycle (2007 Harley Davidson Night Train) and I can\´t emphasize enough how much this bike impresses me. Its best quality I\´d say is comfort, with its style very very close behind. This bike is more than a head turner, its a neck breaker. The engines rumble is better than music, and if you ask my girlfriend which comes first the bike, or her; she\´ll sadly admit the bike is always first. As far as engine/intake/exhaust go mine is still totally stock. Its low end is pretty good, and surprisingly I feel like the top/mid range is a little weak. I\´m sure with the right modifications this will be a problem of the past. I also own a 2005 1200XL stock sportster, and hands down the little 1200 5 speed blows my 2007 night train away in the top/mid range area. Other than that the FXSTB blows the XL away in every possible way. Obviously the handling is different, but not easier or harder. The ground clearance is slightly lower on the FXSTB versus the XL, but I can hit the same turns at the same speeds on both bikes (granted I\´ll scrape the pegs), but I\´m a bad ass, and thats how I %&#!¤ roll. This is not a starter bike, start small and work your way up. One of my favorite things about the Night Train is the room you have to customize this beauty so many possibilities. Not for the faint of heart, If your seriously considering buying this bike, then it has called to you, and fate will grab you by the horns and make you buy this gorgeous machine. Ownership of this bike is rights to call yourself a badass, and I salute you. I still don\´t understand guys with full dressers, windshields, radios, big fiberglass saddle bags, huge seats, foot boards..AND MOST THESE GUYS ONLY PUT 1,200 MILES A YEAR ON THEIR BIKES!!!!!...To me, riding a bike is being one with the road, totally exposed to the elements, thats me, I ride everyday, I love my bike, I clean it all the time, put in the best fluids, read the service manuals, do the work myself, (and I am no mechanic by any standard...in fact I use to be mechanically useless until I bought my first bike. its your duty to take care of your bike, sure have a pro look at it here and there for safety, but its your machine, and you should do the work!!!) Thats it, any opinions or comments send me an email. Live free, and drive Fast.
