Hello, My name is michael and i just found a honda 1983 honda xl in my friends back yard and i asked if i could have it and he said i could it hadnt been ran in about 20 years they said but i like a challenge so i took the bike home and i started work on it i couldn\´t get it to crank and finally i removed the carburator and cleaned it. It had a lot of gunk in it and i cleaned the jets out and everything. I got it to crank one night and ran it for awhile then the next day i took it off my truck and was gona ride it but i cranked it and when i did everytime i took the choke off FULL it would shut off. i would try to crank it but it would not start it would fire but not start and i would put the choke on full and it would stay cranked but kept leaking gas out of the bottom drain. it act like its not gettin enough sucktion but i took the carb off again and stuck my hand on the intake hole and it had perfect sucktion but i can\´t figure out why it wont stay cranked and it keeps leaking gas!!!! CAN I PLEASE GET SOME HELP!!!! i have wanted a bike my whole life and i finally got one and i want it to run like a dream please help me!
