Barn Special
Dinges said 2008-01-16 04:00
I recently bought a 1982 XJ550 Maxim w/ 20k miles in relatively great shape for being 25 years old. It had sat for approx 10 years covered in a barn. Obviously the battery is dead and gas was left in the tank (about 1/4-1/2 tank). The front brakes seem to be locking up when i try to move it around in the garage. I am planning on cleaning/rebuilding/synching carbs, new battery, clean tank, adjust/bleed brakes, new tires. What else should i be aware of or take a closer look at on this type of bike this old with 20k miles???
