Hi Julie I own a 2004,does the same thing sometimes.Pull the choke all the way out when you FIRST start it.Then push the choke in gradually,giving it some gas while you do.Just hold the throttle open to keep it at 2000 rpm.It should warm up and be ok,rev it slightly to make sure it´s warm.Once you do,you shouldn´t need to use the choke for the rest of the day.
