Hi Steve, I dont know of any inherant problems but i also have a Trophy 900 (93k) and the earlier triples had a problem with what is called " starter spragg clutch " Triumph dealer quoted me £700 to do the job, i got it done for £350 still a lot concidering it is not actualy the starter motor, the 1000s may have the same system but you would have to check. email me and i will send you some pics.. johnbirkens@hotmail.com what year is yours? how much? what colour, milage? hope to hear from you soon John
