Paul, I have an 03 RT; great bike. I also have an 01 740i which has the GPS Navigation System. When I considered installing the $1500 Garmin system on the bike, I realized that I did not need the major distraction such a system causes while one is riding. For safety reasons only, I do not recommend a GPS system for a motorcycle. Just stop and read your map. You will not stop to read your GPS.
Hope you are enjoynig the RT. Spend the GPS money on a Two Brothers Titanium exhaust kit and an Interlusion Fi programmer; you will enjoy that more.
