This bike holds true to the original "street standard" concept. It´s not a sport, but has just enough oomph and agility to be loads of fun w/o getting crazy. Doesn´t have the legs to be a true touring machine, but enough for a good days riding. I would be a great starter bike (my wife learned on mine) and fits the short commuter/general fun niche perfectly. The spec sheet doesn´t lie, so if you have reasonable expectations you will not be disappointed.
