do you use shell optimax petrol? This will make the bike back fire and run like charf cuter. as for the F1 code there is a conector near the rear of the spark plug, i would say you have water in this conector. this conector is conected to an engine sensor and if shorted out by water will give you an F1 code This is a starting point for you , i hope this helps.
