New to the XT250. Been riding dirt bikes for 50 years. Getting more cautious in my older years. Downsized from Honda XR650L. Would like to gear the XT a just little lower. Should I change counter shaft sproket, rear sproket or both?? the trails I ride most frequently, I was used to riding in 2nd gear, which meant I could downshift to 1st as needed. On the Xt, I never seem to get out of 1st and occasionally kill it in the tight or steep areas. Would like to ride in 2nd most of the time.
